We are so thrilled you're here! Thank you for taking the time out of your day to read this post about why we are expanding, why we are changing our name, and all the while, how we are staying true to ourselves and our values.
First things first . . .

Abby Barkley is the newest team member of Hand Gathered. She hails from the Lowcountry, graduated from Clemson University in 2016 with a Communications degree, and is living in her new hometown of Greenville, SC with her husband, Key. It's safe to say -- she knows and loves South Carolina. Abby and I (Samantha) have been toying with the idea of her joining the team for some time now. We truly felt peace and excitement this summer as we were planning this new stage for this little company and bringing her on as a partner!

Wild Petal has truly been a blessing from God to me and my family. It has brought out a lot of creativity, joy, personality, and new opportunities for us in the past year and a half. We would be lying if we said this was an easy progression for us. It's always a bit scary to expand and put yourself out there, really in any facet! While it has not been necessarily easy, it is truly been the right move because God has been opening doors to both Abby and I in the past couple of months for this move. With new contacts and friendships forming in Greenville, ties to both Columbia and Charleston, and the history in Charlotte, we simply took the leap of faith and are more than ready for all of the exciting challenges and opportunities coming for us in the future years! A.K.A. we are here to stay!

Wild Petal was a sweet company name thought up by me and my husband a few years while we were still dreaming of starting this venture. Don't get me wrong -- I still love and am tied to this name in many ways! There will be difficult parts of transitioning company names, but all of that aside, Hand Gathered speaks to our brand. (Hello, legal steps that I will be tangled in for a while!) We want our clients, brides, and families to feel connected to us, appreciated, known, and that they have truly come to the right place. These two words say "unhurried," "timeless," and "romantic." We want to take as much time as we need to get to know our clients and their love stories, be a larger part of the planning process, and let the company grow in a delightful way (however God chooses!) with a timeless name.

Now that the word is out, we hope to continue to form bonds with engaged couples and wedding vendors in Charlotte, and all around South Carolina. We are so excited to see where this journey takes us as business partners, besties, and friends of Jesus! We believe that God is doing some sweet and big things in our lives through this company, and we can only pray you see glimpses and rays of God's light through the stories we get to tell through flowers.
Stay tuned for the new logo coming in September by the ever talented Ashley Stone.
